Job Category Production & Skilled Trades Position Summary The Bandag plant in Abilene has been in operation for over 50 years, producing tread rubber and retreading materials for Bandag dealers. Bandag is a critical piece of Bridgestone dedicated to the research, development, and manufacturing of premium retread tires. Bridgestone seeks energetic and motivated Maintenance Technicians to join our manufacturing team in Abilene, TX. Pay: Starting pay is $33.88/hour. Opportunities to earn up to $40.43/hour through successful training and certification requirements. Responsibilities Responsibilities A focus on Safety First, Always! Ability to troubleshoot equipment Responsible for processing work orders, data collection, and statistical analysis Perform mechanical or technical training as needed to areas within the plant that are identified as developmental opportunities Responsible for all aspects of preventative maintenance, including diagnostics, reporting, and repairs Work alignment with and support Bandag Mission, Core Values, Quality Statements, and Plant Mission Statement Employee Type Regular: Full Time Qualifications Must possess a High School diploma/GED, or equivalent (completed and verified prior to start). Preferred Skills and Experience: Preferred 2 years of employment stability. Preferred 1 -2 year vocational training/associate degree Physical Requirements: Lifting requirements may be up to 130 lbs. on an occasional basis. Lifting requirements range from a height of 3-5 feet.
