Take and record patients height, weight, health history and vital signs including blood pressure and temperature. ADA 2. Assist physician with physical exams and medical procedures by positioning patient and checking vital signs during procedures. Performs all appropriate clerical work in connection with the preparation of billing source documents, insurance forms, diagnostic testing order forms. ADA 3. Sterilize instruments and equipment using autoclave. ADA 4. Order and maintain supplies and prepare examination rooms. ADA 5. Maintain logbooks, and all inventory within stock rooms. ADA 6. Assist in clerical procedures such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls and recording messages and completing forms, medical records and requests for lab tests and x-rays. ADA 7. Prepares and assists in fitting for crutches, canes, walkers in addition to setting casts, splints, and other orthopedic equipment. ADA 8. Provide patient education for use of orthopedic supplies, devices, and equipment. ADA 9. Performs related work as required.
