Position overview The senior manager of corporate narrative and content is an important part of the corporate communications team whos responsible for helping to tell the story of Blue Cross values, mission and strategy to our associates (employees). Reporting to the vice president of communications, the senior manager of internal communications works collaboratively across the organization to create a strategy for delivering our messages to associates in a way that provides the right cadence of information to the right people at the right times. What youll do Develop internal communications strategies that are aligned with business goals. Oversee editorial workload and direction across the internal communications team to create, write and edit engaging content across existing and potentially new channels. Own development of strategic content for key initiatives in the business. Work with the team to proactively identify messages that are important to share across the business. Provide oversight to ensure messaging is tied to the bigger picture, is clear, consistent, and aligned with the companys values, mission and strategy. Partner with events manager and executive communications leader to make sure messaging at companywide events is consistent, relevant and connected. Oversee and help execute the ongoing rollout of Smart Brevity. Edit all internal communications content. Form strong relationships with other communicators across the business. Serve on the Crisis Response Team and partner with Enterprise Technology. Find ways to foster two-way dialogue with associates to better understand if/how messages are landing. Stay current on emerging health care news, as well as political, business, technology, security and other trends to inform and provide perspective for internal communications efforts. Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications and make recommendations / iterate based on feedback. Identify opportunities to promote employee engagement and help strengthen our employee culture. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employees pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability. This job is also eligible for variable pay.
