Position Information: Title: Lead Analyst - Non Wires Alternatives Location: Rochester, NY or Binghamton, NY Salary Range: $96,400 - $120,500 Schedule: On Site - Office Job Summary This position is responsible for the development, analysis, evaluation, measurement, and verification (EM&V) of clean energy solutions which are part of the Non-Wires Alternatives (NWA) and Non-Pipes Alternatives (NPA) portfolios at Avangrids New York operating companies NYSEG and RG&E. This position will work in New York to drive the success of NYSEG and RG&Es NWA/NPA program portfolios throughout the project lifecycle, from opportunity identification to contract execution and administration. A successful candidate will embrace opportunities to take on new challenges and be comfortable leading and motivating their peers. Additionally, the successful candidate has excellent analytical skills, a strong work ethic, and an ability to self-task based on a desired outcome rather than step by step instruction. Key Responsibilities Prepares project work & action plans, budgets, milestone schedules by providing analytical expertise, performance tracking and reporting and partnership support. Maintain and provide accurate project documentation. Responsible for company compliance with regulatory proceedings (including but not limited to reporting, data request responses, required filings, etc.) Lead NWA and NPA procurement efforts, including development and evaluation of requests for proposals (RFP) to select viable projects. Own and deliver benefit-cost analyses that inform investment decisions and regulatory filings for potential NWA and NPA projects in New York. Serve as a subject matter expert and lead the utilization and maintenance of the New York BCA Handbooks, and incorporation of the BCA and other screening methodologies into distribution and transmission system planning analyses. Lead the development and oversight of EM&V requirements, including holding project developers accountable for performance. Represent the companies in external discussions and collaborate with other regional utilities and stakeholders, as needed. Establish and maintaining positive internal and external stakeholder relationships including those with regulators. Present project information in various settings and to different audiences including internal team, leadership, regulatory agencies, and other external stakeholders. Required Qualifications Degree in Engineering, Business or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 7 years relevant experience required. Demonstrated understanding of utility operations and positive stakeholder interactions. Experience leading the implementation of complex analysis, projects, and initiatives. Highly developed quantitative skills as demonstrated with complex modeling; preference given to previous benefit/cost modeling experience. Experience in development of project business cases, benefit cost analysis, implementation, and action plans. Experience in tracking portfolio level project plans with well-defined scope, budgets, schedule milestones and performance against key metrics and indicators. Preferred Qualifications Additional consideration will be given to candidates with advanced degrees or professional certifications.
