Estimated Appointment End Date (Continuous if Blank) Full/Part-Time Full time Job Type Regular Compensation $32,000 $34,000 (commensurate with experience) Job Description Basic Purpose The State Election Board (SEB) is seeking a dependable, organized, and self-motivated individual for our Customer Assistance Representative position. Typical Functions The Customer Assistance Representative is primarily responsible for answering the phone and greeting visitors to the State Election Board office in a friendly, professional manner while providing efficient and exceptional customer service. While no prior knowledge of election administration is required, candidates must be willing to become knowledgeable about this specialized field specifically as it relates to Oklahoma in order to assist customers with voter registration and election questions. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, the following: processing incoming mail, filing and managing documents and correspondence, processing voter registration applications and absentee ballot applications, updating and maintaining the visitors PowerPoint slideshow, and using the election software system to assist voters with registration questions. The Customer Assistance Representative may be also tasked with additional duties to ensure secure and efficient elections. Candidates for this position must be familiar Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Office hours are Monday Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some overtime and/or weekends may be required during peak election cycles. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years customer service experience. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies Experience with Windows 10 and higher operating system. Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Detail oriented. Ability to work independently with minimum direction.
