The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience and knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member. The hourly pay band for this position is $23 - $27.00 based on experience, certifications, licensure, education, and location. Requirements Registered Veterinary Technician 1+ years of veterinary experience (preferred) Knowledge of industry tools and equipment Passion for working with animals and their owners Experience with proper animal handling and restraint Obtaining accurate and thorough medical histories TPR Assisting doctor and other technical staff with restraint Blood draws (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular) Placing IV catheters Digital radiology including positioning. Dentistry (digital x-rays, scaling, polishing) Anesthesia (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique) Laboratory skills such as ear and fecal cytology; HM5; Vetscan; Sedivue Excellent client communication/education At AmeriVet, were committed to your growth, development, well-being, and success.
