Full Job Description

Summary: The Business Development Manager will spearhead sales and revenue growth initiatives for the Southern California News Group's Metro team. Collaborating with senior management, this role will develop and execute the digital sales strategy while overseeing the Business Development team to achieve overall success. The Business Development Manager will also actively participate in securing new business opportunities alongside their team. Must be located in the Los Angeles area with monthly onsite expectations in Irvine, CA. What you will do: Attain advertising revenue goals by establishing individual and team sales performance goals, forecasting team revenue, and managing monthly expense budgets Coach and manage Business Development Executives both in the field and on calls with potential clients Evaluate and improve advertising solutions, team structures, and inefficient processes to enhance daily business operations, optimize workflow, and streamline systems Cross-sell multiple products and packages Collaborate with and support key internal stakeholders and external partners to develop incremental local and national revenue opportunities Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key industry partners Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity, and new advertising technologies Respond to ad-hoc analytics requests to track internal performance and generate reports What you will bring: Proven ability to manage a sales team and 4-5 years of experience in digital media sales Demonstrated experience establishing client relationships and closing deals through consultative selling Ability to cross sell multiple products and packages Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills Analytical skills for data-driven reporting, forecasting, and goal-setting Proficiently with Salesforce, Google AdWords and Google Analytics Benefits and Compensation: The annual salary range is $90,000 - $100,000 plus uncapped commission.
