Unleash your talent and redefine whats possible. Job Description: Parsons is looking for a talented and motivated Environmental Engineer II with sediment remediation experience to join our team! The successful candidate will support and/or lead engineering assessments and other related activities for a variety of environmental remediation projects ranging from the initial investigation and feasibility study phases through the final stages of remedial implementation and long-term monitoring, collaborating with different project teams within our Environmental Practice group. Our extensive experience in this field combined with your environmental engineering experience with in-situ soil and sediment remediation technologies will propel your career forward. We need our engineers at this level to apply experience and increasing proficiency in the use of technical theories, practices, and company policies. Willingness to travel to supplier, client, or construction site locations, is expected. What You'll Be Doing: Completes a variety of assignments such as preparing technical reports, design drawings, technical specifications for procurement and construction, technical presentations, leading meetings, and developing work products for client and regulatory agency reviews Ability to work on environmental technical project work while maintaining some task management responsibilities. Reviews contract submittals and performs technical bid analyses Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and surveys Provides technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and junior-level Engineers working on the same project Works with project managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans Provide technical support and leadership/mentorship to junior staff May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field) and typically 5+ years of related work experience Professional Engineer registration, or ability to obtain within 2 years, strongly preferred Previous experience working on sediment sites is required Practical experience with RI/FS and design evaluations and reporting including development of remedial action objectives, screening criteria, alternative evaluations, construction specifications and drawings, and design packages Practical experience providing construction oversight Practical experience with bench- and field-scale treatability studies Thorough understanding of all CERCLA and applicable state and local environmental rules and regulations Exceptional written and oral communications skills Strong independent work ethic, flexibility to adapt to rapidly shifting client priorities, and agility/eagerness to lead challenging and unique projects and assignments Security Clearance Requirement: None This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
