We are currently recruiting a Material Handler to join our dynamic Production Operations team in South Windsor. Work Mode: This is an on-site role that will be assigned to a Broadridge location where you will work 100% of the time. Perform the physical and administrative tasks involved in storing and distributing materials, parts and supplies. Ensure the security and transportation of materials from warehouse to production in a timely manner that supports operational efficiency goals and client SLAs (service level agreements). Reports to supervisor. Responsibilities: Ensure accurate transaction flow throughout material delivery process by locating, pulling, preparing, and delivering and returning materials. Safely operates various types of powered industrial equipment. Accurately perform inventory and cycle counts and perform various data entry using RF equipment. Maintain appropriate inventory levels of materials and supplies on production equipment. Ensure appropriate housekeeping, safety and security standards are met May perform other duties/responsibilities as needed or assigned. Load and unload trucks, perform shipping and receiving functions as necessary and locate and retrieve product from open heights up to approximately 30 feet. Qualifications: Less than high school diploma 1-year relevant experience Previous experience operating powered industrial truck preferred Attention to detail, sound judgment and prioritizing skills Ability to interact and effectively communicate with team members, internal staff and liaisons Ability to comprehend and follow instructions Basic Computer skills Ability to bend, stoop, stand, lift boxes weighing up to 35 lbs. and/or operate equipment for 12-hour shifts. Ability to push, pull or move heavy objects Ability to work at open heights of up to approximately 30 feet Ability to work in a noisy environment (ear protection provided and required) Flexibility in work schedule, based on volume needs, which could require working weekends, holidays or overtime.
