Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for Aircraft Sheet metal Technician Level 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This role will be located on site in Melbourne, Florida. This position is for 1st shift, Monday - Thursday 6am -4:30pm (4-10 schedule) Essential Functions: Able to use a variety of fabrication hand tools and precision measuring instruments to make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work. Able to work from blueprints, sketches, work instructions, both written and verbal. Ability to operate various fabrication equipment, such as shear, sheet metal brake, rollers, grinders, and presses. Able to learn and perform other job functions with OJT when required. Mechanical aptitude and ability to think through problems with forming. Basic Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of sheet metal fabrication experience. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Clearance within a reasonable amount of time, not required to start. Ability to follow written, electronic and verbal instructions and work with minimal supervision. Read and understand blueprints Preferred Qualifications Advanced knowledge of flat pattern layout and sheet metal fabrication DoD Secret Clearance Primary Level Salary Range: $44,400.00 - $74,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
