Position may be based in Radnor, PA., Wilmington, DE. or Syracuse, NY Overview: Provides portfolio management (trading) services across a large number of more complex accounts (estimated at 300 Investment Policys and over 1 Billion in AUM) to transition portfolios toward Wilmington Trusts best thinking. Works with Investment Advisor to understand objectives, constraints, and tax budget of portfolio and proactively communicates with Investment Advisor, making them aware of trades when they occur, by making critical decisions on how to marry Wilmington Trusts best thinking with the clients unique needs Primary Responsibilities: Manage Desktop Managed Equity (DME) accounts by coordinating with Investment Advisor on appropriate tax budget, targeting specific Wilmington Trust Equity strategy, and implementing trades in a timely manner throughout the year in accordance with transition plan. Collaborate with Investment Advisor on decision making process, marrying firms best thinking with client needs. Portfolio Manager can also manage entire portfolio to make trades to move towards appropriate target multi asset class strategy set by the Investment Advisor and client. Proactively manage the clients accounts by placing trades and monitor tracking error in portfolios in accordance with transition plan. Track trades and provide timely communication with Investment Advisors. May work with more complex relationships that have multiple constraints, restrictions, or considerations needed given trust language or existing positions. Understand and adhere to the Companys risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Companys Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand. Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. Complete other related duties as assigned. Scope of Responsibilities: Primarily on unit Education and Experience Required: Bachelors' degree and three years related work experience, or in lieu of degree, 7 years relevant professional work experience, with a minimum of 3 years investment experience. Comprehensive understanding in discipline. In depth knowledge of trading procedures, investment platform, and implementing firms best thinking. Evaluates situations using multiple sources of information. Inputs to decisions within own discipline. Exchange complex information. Education and Experience Preferred: CFA, progress toward CFA, or CIMA preferred. Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years investment experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 years higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 4 years investment experience. Comprehensive investment and industry knowledge. Proficient personal computer skills with solid knowledge of Microsoft Office.
