Department UL Inclusive Economy Lab About the Department The University of Chicago Inclusive Economy Lab works with policymakers, organizations, and communities to identify their most urgent and pressing challenges, co-generate evidence about what works, and translate that evidence into real policy changes that expand economic opportunity and improve lives. Job Summary The job performs a broad range of operational business activities to support the statistical design and implementation of research analysis. Uses knowledge of statistics to communicate analyses for research proposals and draft reports detailing their results. Follows objectives and procedures for sampling, randomization, data collection, analysis, and quality control. Responsibilities Independently translates project analytical requirements into accurate, efficient, and well-documented code Contributes to data management and analysis of experimental and quasi-experimental evaluations Cleans, merges, and matches data, and runs sampling and randomization across multiple projects Generates clear data visualizations Contributes to drafting memos, spreadsheets, and presentations targeting both policymakers and academic researchers Works closely with Principals Investigators to ensure the rigor of the Labs research With researcher guidance assists in developing objectives, designing sampling, randomization, and data collection procedures to achieve study objectives Maintains collaboration with other research support personnel, including analysts and programmers in monitoring and assessing data quality Performs other related work as needed Minimum Qualifications Education: Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field. Work Experience: Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through < 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
