You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced financial services environment. As an Entry-Level/Apprentice Java Developer, you will work closely with our experienced developers to design, develop, and maintain Java applications. Responsibilities: Develop and Maintain Java Applications: Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of Java-based applications. Code Review and Debugging: Participate in code reviews and debugging sessions to ensure high-quality code. Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with senior developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver solutions. Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation for new and existing applications. Learning and Development: Continuously improve your skills and knowledge of Java and related technologies through training and hands-on experience. Technical Skills: Basic understanding of Java programming language. Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts. Knowledge of SQL and relational databases. Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git). Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies. This role has an expected salary range of $90,000.00 - $98,000.00 for the Chicago market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business units incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
