Reporting directly to the Facilities Maintenance Manager, this position plays a critical role in delivering consistent cleanliness standards, efficient room turnover, and a welcoming guest experience at a yearround hospitality property. This role is well-suited for an individual who thrives in a fastpaced lodging environment, brings strong organizational and administrative skills, and enjoys leading teams through clear communication, structure, and accountability. While this role is not responsible for overall departmental strategy, it is a key execution and oversight position that supports hiring, scheduling, training, and daily performance management and quality of product and guest room experience of the housekeeping team. Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities Housekeeping Operations & Quality Oversight Supervise daytoday housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms and public areas consistently meet Trailhead Lodge cleanliness and presentation standards. Conduct routine room inspections and publicspace walkthroughs to verify quality, completeness, and adherence to brand expectations. Coordinate daily room status with Guest Experience and Facilities teams to support efficient room readiness and turnover. Assist with resolving housekeepingrelated guest concerns promptly and professionally. Support seasonal deepcleaning initiatives and special projects as assigned. Scheduling & Staffing Support Support the Facilities Maintenance Manager with recruitment activities, including interviewing, onboarding, and training of Lodge Services / Housekeeping Attendants. Prepare and manage daily and weekly housekeeping schedules aligned with occupancy, arrivals, departures, and staffing levels. Assign daily work areas and priorities to housekeeping team members. Monitor productivity, coverage, and labor utilization, adjusting assignments as needed to meet operational demands. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to team members to reinforce performance expectations and service standards. Escalate performance, attendance, or conduct concerns to the Facilities Maintenance Manager as appropriate. Administrative & Systems Responsibilities Maintain accurate housekeeping documentation, including room inspection logs, task lists, and daily production records. Track housekeeping supplies, linens, and amenities; communicate restocking needs and usage trends. Support payroll accuracy by verifying timekeeping records and schedules. Assist with maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials. Utilize property management and housekeeping systems to update room status and communicate completion. Guest Experience & CrossDepartment Collaboration Collaborate closely with the Guest Experience Manager and Attendants, Night Audit, and Facilities Maintenance Manager and Attendant to ensure smooth daily operations and minimal guest disruption. Support nextday arrival readiness by ensuring rooms are prioritized based on arrivals, early checkins, and special requests. Maintain a professional, guestaware presence when working in public or guestfacing areas. Reinforce a hospitality mindset within the housekeeping team, connecting room quality to the overall guest experience. Role Structure & Accountability This role provides direct supervision of housekeeping team members but does not serve as a department manager. Work is performed with operational priorities and guidance provided by the Facilities Maintenance Manager. Success requires strong organization, followthrough, clear communication, and consistent attention to detail. Serves as a key onproperty leader supporting daily execution and team engagement. Work Location & Schedule Fulltime, onsite position at Trailhead Lodge. Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and variable shifts based on occupancy and operational needs. Property operates yearround. Additional Expectations Maintain a safetyfirst mindset for guests, coworkers, and self. Follow established procedures, documentation standards, and cleanliness protocols. Maintain confidentiality related to guests, staff, and internal operations. Take pride in the appearance, organization, and care of the property. Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and emotional intelligence in all interactions. Remain adaptable and willing to support other operational areas during peak periods or weather events. Secondary Function: Provide operational support to Guest Experience and Facilities teams during highvolume periods or staffing gaps. Assist with coordinating housekeeping response to maintenance issues that impact room readiness. Support training and onboarding efforts to foster consistency and shared ownership of service standards. Interfaces with supply vendors, laundry services, and operational support partners as needed. Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. 2-3+ years of housekeeping or lodging operations experience preferred; prior supervisory experience a plus. Strong organizational, timemanagement, and administrative skills. Familiarity with hotel cleanliness standards, room inspections, and service sequencing. Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fastpaced environment. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Technical & Computer Skills Comfortable using housekeeping or property management systems to update room status. Proficient with Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams. Ability to learn scheduling, inventory, and reporting platforms. Proficiency with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) (e.g., Stay N Touch, Cloudbeds, Roommaster, Maestro, Mews, or similar systems), specifically housekeeping functions preferred.
